This is the finalised character design for the mouse guards for BTH. Here I experimented with different kinds of medieval styles to explore various possibilities and narrow down what kind of particular direction we wanted with the loose term "Medival Mice" we were given for feedback. I also did ideations for the CIA mice, it was hard doing variations for this particular character since there isn't much variation when it comes to people dressed in CIA outfits, nonetheless, I attempted to try different styles and how you could wear the suits differently. Eventually we decided to go with Knight Mice, I then created 4 ideation similar to what the direction was going for, from the feedback I received and early sketches I had seen. We ended up going with the 2 on the left, I experimented with the blue colour scheme and we eventually go the finalised look complete pretty quickly. I then moved on to character turnaround and facial expressions which was a pleasant process, since we had a style guide completed at this point and the designs are simple to draw. After completing the turnaround/facial expression sheet, I then moved onto a breakdown sheet, which took minimal time to get done since there is already a lot of existing shape language and defined silhouette. My last part of the process was to do 6 actions poses for the Knight mice, I really enjoy doing this step, as it helped bring personality/character to the design and assist in giving us what it would look like in the film.
